Teacher, counselor, motivator, mentor and friend are just a few of
the adjectives that describe Kevin Olds Sr. This father of two sons
and a daughter, owner of a childcare learning academy and educator
and Director / CAO of a residential group home leads an incredibly
busy, but purposeful life. Friends and colleagues marvel at his energy
and enthusiasm for working with children of all ages. Few desire to
walk in his shoes.
As a professional educator, Mr. Olds has been named Teacher Counselor
of the month several times in both Memphis, Tennessee, Gloucester,
New Jersey and Portsmouth, Virginia. His 19 years in the mental health
field and public school system have afforded his countless opportunities
to sharpen his skills via various staff development experiences and
inspire hundreds of boys and girls to do and become their very best.
He worked tirelessly as a case manager for the Camden Board of Education.
This was a program called F.A.C.E.S in Camden, New Jersey which was
an early childcare initiative by the former Governor, Christine Whitman.
This position is only one appointment to which he was assigned many
task and responsibilities to impact the lives of children in Camden,
New Jersey’s Empowerment Zone. >>>>
