Education Assistance

Academic Tutorial Assistance ; provided by certified licensed teachers endorsed in special education and language arts and variety of endorsements

Computer Laboratory, complete with training opportunities and Internet access(on-site);

Vocational Educational Opportunities to include, job skills training, employment assistance (when age appropriate);

Volunteer Opportunities

Educational services will provided by the local educational agency, within the school zone of the facility. All supplemental educational services will be provided by Newhaven as deemed necessary by the clients academic need.

Other Standard Services

Room and Board;

Transportation (to New Haven related activities and personal appointments);

Three nutritional meals per day, including snacks;

Recreational Activity, both on-site and off-site;

Cultural and Educational Activities

These services described above will be delivered during gatherings at New Haven during the evenings and on weekends, most often in a group setting. Under the coordination of our residential counselors, suitable community resources, the senior staff at New Haven will facilitate the delivery of services that we have indicated.

Effectively relieve the placing agency of the burden of supervision and service coordination;

Provide the teen the resources and support needed to end the cycle of low self- esteem and inadequate educational attention/opportunities while addressing things such as dysfunctional family structure and future dependence on social service programs.

We will provide the following programmatic services:

Personal Development

Behavioral Management and Good Decisions Making;

Emotional and Psychological Counseling (Group & Individual);

Substance Abuse Support Counseling, (These sessions apply when the resident has been placed due to substance abuse issues in the home. New Haven will not accept a resident who themselves are currently addicted to illegal substances.);

Family Counseling and Reconciliation (whenever possible);

Case Management and Follow-Up
