Our home will serve males who are in conflict with their families, runaways and dependents of the State. Our program is based on values that most people share: the love of children and family connectedness. Beyond food, clothing and shelter, our commitment is to create an environment that fosters emotional security, perhaps the most important factor to becoming a productive citizen.

The goal of New Haven is to offer at-risk teens a safe, therapeutic, home-like environment where they may adequately work through the issues of emotional/psychological distress, behavioral disorders, delinquency, dysfunctional family relations and educational achievement/advancement using proven counseling methods.

We are committed to create a safe harbor that will greatly increase the chances that these young men will grow up to be happy and satisfied with themselves. We believe kids who come from troubled childhoods can still manage to beat the odds. The system is set up so each resident is provided frequent and regular opportunities to receive feedback regarding their performance. This feedback focuses on, and emphasizes, the small steps that residents make in an effort to move pass their current level of behavior.

New Haven will offer each resident a wide array of programming designed to develop each person holistically as it relates to instilling a sense of self-worth, self-esteem and self-confidence.

We believe that placement agencies will see a benefit in, and be willing to pay for, placing an at-risk boys in our program because of the diverse services that we will offer.
